ROMANTICS

Romantics is a new dance and music work for four dancers and a pianist. The piece is inspired by 19th century piano music, which has touched human beings from generation to generation.

 

The work creates a bridge between different eras, seeks a symbiotic connection between dance and music, and illuminates the power of art in sustaining humanity.

 

In this work, the dancers make the music visible while the music supports their mutual connection.

 

The choreography is created by dance artist Anu Sistonen. The performers are Suvi Honkanen, Jack Traylen, Liza Vorontsova, Waltteri Voitila (dance) and pianist Samuel Eriksson.
