Professor Eeva Anttila
Co-Founder, Executive Director
Eeva Anttila (Doctor of Arts in dance) has a long career as dance scholar and dance teacher. She is passionate about dance and its power to transform peoples’ lives. She has dedicated her career to dance education research and practice so that dance could be accessible to all. In DanceWorks Helsinki, Eeva is responsible for advancing research and education.
Suvi Honkanen
Co-Founder, Artistic Director
Suvi Honkanen is Helsinki-native dancer and writer. She performed with the Finnish National Ballet from 2010 to 2019 in both classical and contemporary works and won awards at international and national competitions. In her writing, she aims to highlight the emotional challenges of ballet and critically examines its outdated traditions. With a deep passion for contemporary ballet, Suvi remains committed to fostering a more inclusive future in dance.
